LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a car has smashed into a light pole on a Las Vegas street, killing one man and seriously injuring two others.
Police say the crash happened Friday night when the driver left his lane of traffic and slid onto the center median. The right side of the car hit a light pole, totaling the vehicle.
The driver and two occupants were taken to a hospital. All three are 21 and from North Las Vegas.
The driver, Diego Rubio-Rodriguez, and one passenger, Heriberto Lopez-Regalado, were seriously hurt in the crash. A second passenger was killed. His name is being withheld until relatives can be notified.
The crash is under investigation.
