LAS VEGAS (AP) - Say goodbye to Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Old West-themed casino will close for remodeling in February, and is expected to reopen in 2014 under a new name.
Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced this week that it had secured $185 million to gut Bill's Gamblin' Hall and convert it into a boutique hotel and club.
The casino kitty-corner to the Bellagio was known as the Barbary Coast until 2007.
The planned renovations include the addition of a 65,000-square-foot rooftop pool as well as a nightclub with a panoramic view of the Strip.
Caesars Entertainment chairman and chief executive officer Gary Loveman said in a statement that the project will help the company "attract a broader spectrum of visitors."
