LAS VEGAS (AP) - Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced Monday that it plans to rename and rebrand the company's Imperial Palace resort on the Las Vegas Strip to The Quad Resort & Casino.
The company says in a statement that the transformation will start in November and will officially become The Quad by the end of the year.
A renovation to the property is already under way and is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2013.
Resort president Rick Mazer says the new name will embody changes designed to make the property a social hub with a "feeling of fun and connectivity."
Las Vegas-based Klai Juba Architects is set to handle the renovations to the exterior and structure and the Friedmutter Group will handle the interior design.
