LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 67-year-old rodeo trainer from Boulder City is accused of sexually assaulting five teenagers and young women over the course of five years.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Peter Bennett was indicted last week on 34 counts, including sexual assault, kidnapping, coercion, lewdness, battery and burglary.
Bennett's lawyer, lawyer Damian Sheets, tells the newspaper his client is innocent of the charges and says there are inconsistencies in the accusers' stories.
The five females accusing Bennett all knew him through the rodeo circuit and the Boulder City Horseman's Association.
One testified that Bennett held a gun to her head while he sexually assaulted her.
Bennett was arrested in August and remains in the Clark County jail on $1 million bail. He's set for an arraignment on Nov. 15.
