LAS VEGAS (AP) - Friends and the lawyer for a Las Vegas casino worker accused of killing her live-in boyfriend by backing her car over him say the death was a tragic accident during a drunken argument.
Sounilak Ouchaleun listened to a Laotian and Thai language interpreter Tuesday while Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Eric Goodman set bail at $100,000.
The judge scheduled an evidence hearing Dec. 14.
Ouchlaeun's public defender, Christy Craig, says she'll plead not guilty to murder in the death of Conrado Martinez Mendoza.
Craig says another man was there while the couple argued about relationship issues late Nov. 19.
Police say the 41-year-old Martinez was banging on the back of the car and telling Ouchlaeun not to leave before it backed over him in their driveway.
