LAS VEGAS (AP) - An accident involving at least four semi-trucks and several more passenger cars on a slick Las Vegas freeway snarled the morning commute Wednesday.
Transportation officials diverted southbound traffic on U.S. 95 between Las Vegas Boulevard and Eastern Avenue for several hours.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott says a semi-truck crash in the rainy weather a little before 3 a.m. started a chain reaction. He says at least three semi-trucks were involved on the southbound side, and at least one was involved on the northbound lanes.
Elliott says there were multiple minor injuries, but none of them appear to be life threatening.
