Nye County Assistant Sheriff Rick Marshall is defending his actions from earlier this week.

Marshall is accused of stealing campaign signs for an upcoming election that read "Anybody But Rick". Marshall says he was given permission to remove the signs by the people who own the property where the signs were posted.

In a press conference in Pahrump, property owners validated his story stating he was allowed to remove the anti-Marshall signs.

The arrest report stated there were 40 signs stolen. Marshall has a court date set for August.
