LAS VEGAS (AP) - The head of the Clark County animal control code enforcement office is facing a felony charge that he solicited a child for prostitution.
Las Vegas police say 46-year-old Donald Coburn was arrested Saturday and freed from jail on a $5,000 bond pending a court appearance.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Coburn is on vacation from his nearly $78,000 job.
A telephone number for Coburn was disconnected, and it's not clear Wednesday if he has a lawyer.
The Review-Journal reports that Coburn was fired in 1992 as a White Pine County sheriff's deputy after pleading guilty to misdemeanor furnishing alcohol to a minor and annoying a minor.
Records show Coburn became a Clark County animal control officer in 1996, and has headed the department for about a year.
