Amber Alert for 5-Month-Old Over; Suspect Apprehended

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Amber Alert for five-month-old Aleeha Leilani Green is now deactivated. The suspect, Jeff Green, was apprehended and taken into custody.

According to officials with the Yuma Police Department, Green was apprehended on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 around 2:30 p.m. He was stopped by the Utah Highway Patrol approximately four miles north of the Arizona/Utah state line on Interstate 15.

Officials say Aleeha Green was found unharmed in the car with Jeff Green.

An Amber Alert was active in the southern Nevada area for a five-month-old named Aleeha Leilani Green.

According to an official with the Yuma Police Department, officers went to the 3200 block of West Patricia Lane on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 for a report of custodial interference. The suspect, Jeff Green, took his 5-month-old biological daughter after an argument about custody issues.

Officials tell KOLO 8 News Now Jeff Green has no custodial rights to his daughter. They say Green has made suicidal comments to the family.

Green left with his daughter in his lime green 1997 Dodge truck. The plate number on the Arizona license plate is NTY586, according to the Amber Alert.

The suspect has possession of a firearm and is considered a danger to himself or the child, according to the Amber Alert.

The baby is described as a five-month-old white female. Her eyes are blue and her hair is blonde. She was last seen wearing a pink and white onesie, according to the Amber Alert.

The suspect, Jeffrey Brian Green, is described as a 47-year-old white male. He stands at 5'8'' and weighs 160 pounds. The suspect has green eyes and brown hair. He also has a brown mustache. Green was last seen wearing khaki shorts, a black t-shirt and khaki boots, according to the Amber Alert.

The suspect's lime green 1997 Dodge truck is described as having flames running on the front part of each side.

There is a felony arrest warrant for Jeff Green, according to an official with the Yuma Police Department.
