LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say a 28-year-old suspected pimp is jailed following a joint local and federal investigation that began after the beating of a man who was to shoot a music video for him.

Records show that Arman Izadi was arrested Wednesday on 15 criminal charges including pandering, kidnapping, coercion with threat of force, transporting an adult for prostitution, battery and strangulation.

He's being held at the Clark County jail pending a court appearance.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that police SWAT officers also searched several floors at a high-rise condominium building on Las Vegas Boulevard South.

Court records show that Izadi pleaded guilty in October to attempted battery with substantial bodily harm and is scheduled for sentencing May 15.

His lawyer in that case didn't immediately respond to messages.
