LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada's secretary of state says many counties
are reporting about 20 percent turnout so far in the state's primary election.

Nevada voters are picking U.S. House and Senate candidates Tuesday in primary races that could decide which political party controls Congress after November.

Voters also will weigh in on state Senate, Assembly, board of education, regents and numerous local races. Democrats hold a slim 11-10 majority in the state Senate and the GOP hopes a few key races will tip the balance in their favor. Democrats also control the Assembly.

In Laughlin, a longtime push toward incorporation is on the ballot.

Polls close at 7 p.m.
