Hard Rock International said it plans to open its second cafe in Las Vegas, this time on the Las Vegas Strip across the street from the $7.4 billion CityCenter megaresort.
The flagship 41,000 square-foot Hard Rock Cafe is set to open in the summer of 2009 with three floors, including a restaurant, gift shop and 370-seat concert venue just north of the MGM Grand casino-hotel.
The company plans to keep its existing cafe at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino off the Strip, but expected the new store to benefit from the better location.
There are 123 Hard Rock Cafes and eight casino-hotels in 46 countries.
