Former Major Leaguer Bill Robinson Dead At 64

Bill Robinson, who played on Pittsburgh's 1979 World Series championship team and was working as the Los Angeles Dodgers' minor league hitting coordinator, died today.

He was 64.

A Dodger spokesman says Robinson was found dead in a Las Vegas
hotel room. Official cause of death was pending.

Robinson played in the majors from 1966 through 1983.

He had eleven-hundred 27 hits, 166 home runs and 641 R-B-Is as an
outfielder for Atlanta, the New York Yankees, Philadelphia and
Pittsburgh.
