Henderson police say they have arrested a man accused of swindling an elderly resident out of 35,000 dollars in cash.
Police arrested 44-year-old Michael Miller on Saturday.
They say Miller befriended an 88-year-old Henderson man a few months ago and told him there was water leaking under his town house and if he didn't repair it, the house would sink.
Miller and an accomplice convinced the elderly man to pay cash for repairs that were never done.
They were about to charge the man 75,000 dollars.
Police caught onto the scam when a bank employee called police in early May.
Miller is alleged to have accompanied the victim to the bank to withdraw another 10,000 dollars in cash.
Police say they are still trying to identify the accomplice.
