CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A Las Vegas judge barred from the bench
for bringing private bodyguards to court won a temporary ruling
from the Nevada Supreme Court on Friday, letting her return to work.
The high court ruling favors Clark County District Judge Elizabeth
Halverson, who was barred by the chief judge, Kathy Hardcastle, for
jeopardizing security by letting the bodyguards bypass security
checkpoints at the Regional Justice Center in Las Vegas.
