Teen Charged with Stabbing Parents, Sister in Las Vegas

Police say a 19-year-old college student stabbed his mother, father and 14-year-old sister after an argument about his grades at their Las Vegas home.

Police say Nathaniel Baria attacked his parents about 6 am Tuesday -- leaving his father with stab wounds on his arms and chest, his mother with wounds on her hands, and his sister with a cut on her face.

The incident came to light later -- when the mother took her daughter to a hospital to seek treatment.

Hospital staff alerted police, who went to the house (at Linn Lane and Washington Avenue) in northwest Las Vegas.

That's where Baria was arrested.

He's being held at the Clark County jail on three charges of attempted murder -- pending a court appearance Thursday.
