LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities say two children were critically hurt and four other family members were injured in a rollover crash near the entrance of the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas.
Police Officer Richard Tusko tells KLAS-TV a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by a 16-year old driver sped past Meadows Mall and through a red light at Valley View Boulevard before crashing through the nature preserve entrance a little after 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
The teen's name wasn't made public.
Police say he was injured, along with his mother, Blanca Arreola, and four children in the back seat.
A 5-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy were hospitalized in critical condition.
Tusko says the same car may have been involved in a hit-and-run crash minutes before in the parking lot of a Toys-R-Us store.
