LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Clark County grand jury has indicted a teenager on a charge of murder with a deadly weapon in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy at a birthday party.
Jared Flemming, a student at Chaparral High School, was shot and killed at his birthday party in May. He was about to turn 15.
Authorities say 17-year-old Barron Hamm was reportedly trying to rob people at the party. They say he shot Flemming in the back as he ran from the party being held at his sister's Las Vegas apartment.
Hamm is due in court on July 29. Clark County court records did not list an attorney for him.
