LAS VEGAS (AP) - A National Park Service official says firefighters are attacking a lightning-sparked wildfire in the mountains about 30 miles west of Las Vegas.
Park Service spokeswoman Judy Suing says no structures are threatened and no evacuations have been ordered due to the Williams
Fire in the Spring Mountains hamlet of Trout.
No injuries are reported.
Suing says the fire is still small, but it's only a mile and a half from Trout. A helicopter and a tanker aircraft are aiding firefighters on the ground.
She says several other wildfires sparked by lightning over the weekend are nearing containment.
The largest was the 40-acre Dry Basin fire between Trout and Lovell canyons near the La Madre Mountain Wilderness.
Others were near Cold Creek, Wallace Canyon, Kyle Canyon and Lee
