LAS VEGAS (AP) - The man arrested on drunken driving charges after a crash that killed a Las Vegas police officer has been released from jail.
Police now say Calvin Darling's blood alcohol content was under the legal limit at the time of the Thursday morning accident and that there were no illegal drugs in his system.
Darling had been held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center. After receiving the test results, he was released late Friday on his own recognizance while the investigation continues.
Police say Darling still may face a drunken driving charge and a charge of failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. It is up to the Clark County district attorney's office whether to file those charges.
Officer James Manor was killed in the crash.
Darling is due in court Monday morning.
