LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada health officials say they will begin testing for swine flu virus at a state lab in Reno.
The number of swine flu cases confirmed in the state remained at
State health spokeswoman Martha Framsted says Nevada got testing kits and approval from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta to begin testing for the virus. She says the CDC is still testing seven samples from Nevada.
Officials confirmed cases Tuesday in a schoolboy and an adult woman in the Las Vegas area and the mother and younger sibling of a 2-year-old child previously diagnosed with the virus in Reno.
hey say the Clark County woman is hospitalized, the Reno patients are getting better and the North Las Vegas boy has recovered.
