LAS VEGAS (AP) - The 26-year-old son of convicted Oklahoma City bombing coconspirator Terry Nichols will avoid trial on a felony motorcycle theft charge in Las Vegas.
Court records show Joshua Isaac Nichols entered an Alford plea Wednesday. He did not admit guilt, but acknowledged the state could prove the felony charge against him.
The judge canceled trial set for Monday and scheduled sentencing for July 29.
Nichols was indicted in December on two charges - grand larceny and possession of a stolen vehicle - carrying a possible one to 10 years in state prison and a $10,000 fine.
His lawyer, Gary Guymon, didn't immediately respond Friday to a message seeking comment.
