LAS VEGAS (AP) - A well-known Las Vegas defense lawyer and former prosecutor faces a misdemeanor theft charge in Utah, where authorities say he stole a necklace at a resort near Provo.
The Utah County attorney's office charged 46-year-old Gary Guymon on April 6 with one count of misdemeanor theft.
Authorities say he's seen on surveillance video taking a necklace worth less than $300 from a gift store March 24 at the Sundance Resort, where he left postcards signed with his name.
Guymon didn't immediately respond Thursday to a message seeking comment.
He's due in July in Utah County Justice Court, where he faces a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted.
