Halfway House Inmates Caught

HaLAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada prison officials say two inmates who disappeared from a Las Vegas halfway house have been apprehended.

A corrections release said Thursday that 44-year-old James Thomas was arrested March 30. He's being held at the Clark County jail pending a hearing on an escape charge.

Thomas was serving 12 to 30 months for attempted burglary when he was declared missing March 4 from the Casa Grande Transitional Housing facility.

The release says 35-year-old Melissa Reyes was being held
T hursday on multiple charges including escape, drug possession and obstructing a police officer.

Reyes was arrested March 31 after disappearing from Casa Grandeon Jan. 21. She was on a 12 to 30 month suspended sentence forpossession of a stolen vehicle.
