LAS VEGAS (AP) - State Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto is suing to shut down a 13-store Las Vegas tire and car repair chain for deceptive trade practices.
Masto said Tuesday she's asking a judge to dissolve the corporation behind Tire Works and ban it from doing business in Nevada.
The lawsuit filed Monday in Clark County District Court names Tire Works corporate owner Morpheus Investments Inc. It seeks thousands of dollars in penalties and customer restitution.
Prosecutors accuse the company of false advertising, selling services that aren't needed and charging for services that aren't provided.
