New City Hall Issue Headed for June Ballot

LAS VEGAS (AP) - A public relations battle is shaping up, depending on the outcome of a court battle over two measures proposed for the June 2 ballot. The initiatives are sponsored by the Culinary Union, and aim to stop plans for a new Las Vegas city hall and rein in city redevelopment plans. It all depends on a state Supreme Court decision whether the city can block the measures.
