LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and attempted murder in a shooting that killed his friend during a fight outside a party last August.
Eric Sandoval could face 10 years to life in prison in the slaying of 19-year-old Nester Lee, plus another two to 20 years for the attempted murder conviction.
Police said five people in a car, including a 14-year-old, were wounded by gunfire but recovered.
Clark County District Court Judge Michelle Leavitt set Sandoval's sentencing for May 19.
Lee was a College of Southern Nevada student. His mother said she was satisfied with Sandoval's plea agreement, which avoided trial.
