NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - North Las Vegas police say they're investigating the death of a 1-year-old girl who was brought to a medical office by a woman who said the child drowned.
Police Officer Tim Bedwell said Thursday the child was unresponsive when she was brought to a medical complex on McDaniel Street about noon.
Bedwell says police are investigating the woman's report that the girl might have fallen into a bucket of water at a mobile home on Tonopah Avenue, about a block away.
The child was pronounced dead at University Medical Center.
