Kidnapping Hearing Called Off

LAS VEGAS (AP) - An evidentiary hearing has been called off in
federal court for the grandfather of a 6-year-old Las Vegas boy who
was kidnapped in October and later found safe.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Peggy Leen approved canceling a
preliminary hearing scheduled Monday for Clemens Fred Tinnemeyer
and his girlfriend, Terri Leavy.

They're accused of running drugs across the U.S.-Mexico border
to pay a debt to drug traffickers.

The judge on Thursday ruled the Tinnemeyer-Leavy case would be
merged with a separate sealed criminal complaint.

Federal prosecutors said last week that two men had been charged
with orchestrating the kidnapping of Cole Puffinburger after
Tinnemeyer allegedly made off with millions of dollars in drug
money.
