HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - Henderson police have cordoned off an
area around the intersection of Green Valley Parkway and Paseo
Verde Parkway while authorities investigate an odor of natural gas.
Police spokesman Keith Paul says Southwest Gas has begun digging
up natural gas lines to find the leak.
Traffic is being diverted around the area.
Paul says there have been no evacuations, and nearby Twitchell
Elementary and Vanderburg Elementary school are not affected.
But he says traffic in the area may be affected for several
