AeroMexico Flying to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Mexico-based AeroMexico says it's beginning
nonstop flights between Mexico City and Las Vegas.

The airline says it hopes to attract business and vacation
travelers with service Thursdays and Sundays between Mexico City
and McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

AeroMexico cites United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce data
putting Las Vegas as a top tourism destination for people in
Mexico, and Mexico Tourism Board data calling Mexico one of the
most popular destinations for people from the Las Vegas area.

In a statement, AeroMexico executive Frank Galan also points to
the strength of the U.S. dollar to the peso, saying that makes
Mexico an affordable destination.

The airline already offers weekly flights between Las Vegas and
Monterrey, Mexico.
