LAS VEGAS (AP) - The family of a Las Vegas television
anchorwoman killed in a crash near Death Valley in 2005 is suing
Ford Motor Co., alleging the sport utility vehicle she was driving
The family of KLAS-TV anchorwoman Polly Gonzalez claims in a
civil lawsuit in Clark County District Court that the Ford Explorer
model she was driving didn't have a strong enough roof to withstand
a rollover accident.
The family also says her seat belt didn't work properly.
Gonzalez' two daughters were also injured in the crash but
Neither Gonzalez' family or Ford would comment to the Las Vegas
Review-Journal about the case.
The suit is expected to go to trial next month.
