NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - North Las Vegas police say a 2-year-old boy who was rushed to a hospital after he was found in a backyard swimming pool has died.
Police Officer Chrissie Coon says police tried CPR but the boy died Monday evening at North Vista Hospital after he was found in the pool about 3:15 p.m.
Coon says several relatives were at the home near Cheyenne Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard North at the time. She says officers were told that the boy fell in the water.
It was the second drowning in North Las Vegas in a week.
An 18-month-old boy drowned Jan. 13 after he and a 3-year-old boy were found in a pool in the backyard of a home day care center.
