MLK Day Parade Officials Expect 30,000 In Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Parade officials say they expect 30,000 people
to line the streets alongside a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade in downtown Las Vegas.

The parade, in its 27th year, has the theme "Living the Dream: For One America."

Parade chairman Justin Harper says the goal of the parade is to celebrate King and his attempts to spread peace before his death.

Eight blocks of Fourth Street between Gass Avenue and Ogden Avenue will be closed for the parade starting just before 10 a.m.
