LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas police officer has struck and killed a pedestrian while responding to a burglary call.
Las Vegas police say the officer was responding to the call early Saturday morning in east Las Vegas when he struck a 61-year-old man who was crossing the street outside the crosswalk.
The man's name was not released. He was pronounced dead at the
Police did not identify the 24-year-old officer. They say the officer was driving a marked police car and was using his lights and sirens.
