LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 30-year-old man accused of raping and murdering a woman in 2006 has pleaded guilty just days before he
was set to go to trial.
Kahmuhh Eisenhour pleaded guilty Friday to murder with a deadly weapon, sexual assault and kidnapping in the slaying of 51-year-old
Sharon Sharpe. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 24.
Eisenhour's trail was to begin Monday. Prosecutors were seeking the death penalty.
Sharpe was found near death in the desert in May 2006 near the Hacienda hotel-casino and U.S. Highway 93 in Boulder City. She was
discovered by a passing tour bus but died before she could be taken
to a hospital.
