LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas airport officials say passenger traffic at the city's major airport declined 14.7 percent in November compared to the same month one year ago, the 13th straight monthly decline.
The figures released Friday show about 3.2 million passengers used McCarran International Airport during November 2008, compared to 3.8 million in November 2007.
Las month, airport officials said October numbers showed a 12.8 percent year-over-year decline.
The year-to-date passenger total for January through November 2008 is 40.9 million, down from 44 million for the same time frame last year.
US Airways posted the largest decline among McCarran's major carriers, with 31.4 percent fewer arriving and departing passengers
for November 2008. The airline is down 23.6 percent in passenger
volume in Las Vegas so far this year.
