Fishermen Rescued On Lake Mead After Boat Sinks

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Two fishermen on Lake Mead were rescued after a
four-hour search that began after their boat sank.

Lake Mead rangers found the two 64-year-old men late Sunday

Lake Mead National Recreation Area spokesman Andrew Munoz says
the boat began to take on water as the men were trying to anchor.
Munoz says it sank after the men contacted authorities.

The temperature at the time was 36 degrees Fahrenheit and winds
were blowing at 45 mph.

Munoz says both were wearing life jackets and one man pulled the
other to Ramshead Island, about one-half mile away.

Munoz says the men were found on the island suffering from
hypothermia, but both have recovered.
