LAS VEGAS (AP) - Republican presidential candidate John McCain
picked up an endorsement today from the Las Vegas Review-Journal,
while Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama gained the
endorsement of the Las Vegas Sun.
The Review-Journal says McCain's experience makes him better
qualified to lead the country through uncertain times.
The newspaper also praised McCain's opposition to any tax hike and pledge to control federal spending.
The Sun says Obama demonstrated superior judgment by opposing the Iraq war from the start and by picking Sen. Joe Biden as his running mate.
The Sun also questions McCain's image as a maverick, saying his
voting record is almost identical to that of President Bush.
