Man Arrested In Fairfield Councilman's Murder

LAS VEGAS (AP) - U.S. Marshals have arrested a man wanted for
the murder of a 22-year-old city councilman in Fairfield, Calif.

U.S. Marshals and Las Vegas police arrested Henry Don Williams on Saturday in Las Vegas on a murder warrant issued in the shooting death of Fairfield City Councilman Matt Garcia.

Garcia was gunned down Sept. 1 outside a friend's house in the city 40 miles northeast of San Francisco.

Police say they believe Williams and another suspect, Gene Allen Combs, intended to collect a drug debt. Police say there's no evidence Garcia was involved in drug activity.

Combs, of Suisun City, has been charged with murder.
