LAS VEGAS (AP) - The man who has admitted killing a former Olympian in Las Vegas has waived extradition in northwest Arizona to return to Nevada to face prosecution.
Roger Randolph, 26, told a Mohave County court on Friday that he shot and killed Rhoshii Wells in self-defense. Randolph was arrested Monday near Kingman, Ariz. and is being held on fugitive charges.
Wells was a bronze medalist boxer for Team USA in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He was training for a comeback fight when he was shot outside an apartment complex on Monday.
Randolph will be jailed without bond in Arizona until he is transported to Las Vegas.
