LAS VEGAS (AP) - Air Force officials have identified a pilot
killed in a jet crash during training exercises in the Nevada
desert as Lt. Col. Thomas Bouley.

Bouley and another pilot injured in the crash were assigned to the 65th Aggressor Squadron, and were simulating enemy air forces during the Wednesday exercise in the vast Nevada Test and Training Range north of Las Vegas.

Bouley was declared dead shortly after the crash; the other pilot was transferred to the base hospital.

The Air Force says the second pilot - a Royal Air Force exchange
pilot - is in stable condition. His name has not been released.

Air Force spokesman Charles Ramey would not release Bouley's
age, citing Air Force policy. Officials said Bouley was born in Chateauroux, France, graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1988
and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas.
