Military: Soldier from Vegas Dead in Afghanistan

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The military says a soldier from Las Vegas died
of "non-combat" injuries in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense said Friday that 23-year-old Pfc. Willington M. Rhoads died Wednesday in Bagram of injuries suffered in the unspecified incident, which is under investigation.

Rhoads was assigned to the 173rd Brigade Support Battalion Airborne), in Vicenza, Italy.
