LAS VEGAS (AP) - Sentencing is postponed to Aug. 22 for a husband-and-wife pro bodybuilding couple who pleaded guilty to charges in the slaying of their live-in personal assistant in Las Vegas.
A clerk at Clark County District Court said Friday that presentencing reports are still being prepared on 43-year-old Craig Titus and 36-year-old Kelly Ryan.
Titus pleaded guilty May 30 to second-degree murder, kidnapping
and arson in the slaying of 28-year-old Melissa James. He faces 15
to 55 years in prison.
Ryan pleaded guilty to arson and Nevada's equivalent of no contest to battery with a deadly weapon. She faces two to 15 years on each charge.
James' charred body was found in December 2005 in the trunk of
Ryan's burned-out Jaguar sedan in the desert outside Las Vegas.
