Vegas Police: 1 Dead in Convenience Store Shooting

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say one person is dead and a gunman is
sought after a shooting at a gas station convenience store in northwest Las Vegas.

Officer Bill Cassell, a Las Vegas police spokesman, says it's not clear yet whether the motive was robbery or something else when the shooting started about 8 a.m. Wednesday at the store on Sky Pointe Drive north of the 215 Beltway.

No word on the identity of the victim, or how many shots were fired.

Cassell says detectives are interviewing witnesses, and will be checking whether store security videotape can help identify the assailant.
