LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police are investigating a car chase and shooting that left two men shot in the head.
Police say the incident was sparked by a drug-related dispute with a third man on Friday afternoon in southwest Las Vegas. The third man has been treated for injuries and detained for questioning.
Police say the incident began at noon Friday when they received calls about two vehicles being driven erratically. A call reporting a shooting in the area followed shortly afterward.
Witnesses told police they saw one of the shooting victims throw a large bag in a dumpster before driving to the hospital.
Police later discovered the bag contain a large amount of marijuana.
The two men were airlifted to University Medical Center.
19-year-old Ronald Richards was treated and released. Police say a second victim was in critical condition Saturday morning and is not expected to survive.
