NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - A man has died after he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a fence.
North Las Vegas police responded to the crash at about 8 p.m. Friday. Authorities say the 50-year-old driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle was approaching a turn at a high rate of speed when he lost control.
The motorcycle crossed into the oncoming travel lanes and struck a curb. Police say the man was thrown from the vehicle and struck his head on a fence near the road.
The man wasn't wearing a helmet and suffered severe head trauma.
He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
