LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to 24 to 80 years in prison in a crash that killed four people last year at a Las Vegas bus stop.
Gary Lee Hosey Jr. was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to five felony counts of driving under the influence with substantial bodily harm. He originally faced nine such counts, but took a plea deal in August that dropped four of them.
A witness told police she thought Hosey's car was traveling more than 100 mph on Sept. 13, 2012, when it veered into the crowded regional transit bus stop.
Four people waiting at the stop were killed, and three were injured. Hosey and his four passengers also were hurt.
Prosecutors say Hosey had illegal quantities of alcohol and marijuana in his system.
