LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say a man has died after getting hit by a drunk driver east of downtown.
Police say the accident happened just before 6 a.m. Sunday when
another man drove his car up onto the sidewalk of Lamb Boulevard.
Police say the car hit a man walking on the sidewalk and carried him more than 100 feet.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He died about 11 a.m.
Police say they have arrested the driver, 34-year-old Jose Silva, on suspicion of felony driving under the influence. Authorities say he has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
