LAS VEGAS (AP) - A newspaper poll shows Democrat Dina Titus and
Republican incumbent Jon Porter locked in a tight race in Nevada's
3rd Congressional District.
A Las Vegas Review-Journal poll released Saturday show Porter winning support from 45 percent of likely voters, with Titus at 42 percent in the suburban Las Vegas district. Thirteen percent were
The poll of 232 likely voters had a margin of error of plus or minus nearly 7 percentage points.
The poll showed incumbent Republican Dean Heller with a much more comfortable lead over his Democratic challenger in Nevada's rural 2nd Congressional District.
Heller was the choice of 53 percent of likely voters, to former Democratic party chief Jill Derby's 39 percent. Eight percent of the 230 likely voters surveyed said they were undecided.
That poll also had a margin of error of nearly 7 percentage points.
